My name is Ariel Ozzlander (Dwarfenhauzen)!! and I live in North Vancouver. I love to longboard, surf, paint, draw, giggle and randomly scream nonsense! I think that having a youth council is important because youth's opinions and ideas aren't often heard and even if they are heard they are not taken seriously! So this is a chance for us to step up! WEEEHOOOOOO
Hi there, my name is Lisa and I'm a film student in Vancouver. I'm 18 and I like pickles. I grew up on the Drive (East Van) and my artistic endeavors have truly been fostered and nurtured in this exceptionally creative community. I'm also a musician - my list of favourite artists includes the likes of Jon Brion, Aimee Mann, Radiohead and, sadly, Weezer. I like to sit on the floor and think, and I like to feed spiders. I think this youth advisory council is super cool because it's an outlet for youth to say what they want and have it be heard. I also respect the promotion of film as a tool in order to get those ideas out there.
Chako's my nickname. I love the rain. If I could spend every second in the water, I would. My camera is my third eye. Without music, there would be no sound-track to our lives. You don't need to be a kid to fingerpaint. Film is one of he great forms of communication and entertainment. Why should youth be heard? Because youth perspective is plentiful and rarely valued.
Hey there, my name is Yona! I'm a ninth grader living in the spectacular state of Massachusetts. I love speed skating, acting, singing, learning folk dance, making new friends, Indian food, spring time, the color red, organic bananas, inspiring moments, and of course film. I love experimenting with my camera to find new ways of capturing a scene. I want to remind everyone that hugs are better than handshakes! Why is it so important to hear what teenagers have to say? Today's youth plays such a significant role in the future of the world…it is extremely important that our opinions are heard! Film is a creative way to present new ideas and to positively impact and inspire others. Let's go make the world a better place!
