REEL YOUTH AND FILM FESTIVAL RECOGNITIONS REEL YOUTH FILM FESTIVAL
The RYFF screens short films made by young people under 20, and tours in partnership with youth media organizations, high schools, community groups and other established film festivals. The festival tour kicks off at the Vancouver International Film Festival and goes on to tour across Canada and around the world. The proceeds from each screening act as a fundraiser for local screening partners and the audience votes decide the festival winners. Each screening showcases up to 25% local films, so that emerging filmmakers can be recognized in their community.
