In the summer of 2013, the Nlaka'pamux Tribal Council, as part of the ShchEma-mee.tkt project, brought Reel Youth to Lytton, BC for a third program in the community. Reel Youth staff included award-winning indigenous musician Kinnie Starr, audio engineers and film makers. Over the course of five days, participants learned how to write songs, produce beats, record audio tracks, shoot films and edit both audio and video. And while they were at it, they also made some animated films about preserving their culture, the importance of family, and rights and freedoms.
