North West British Colombia Youth Environmental Leadership Program
In April 2008 , eighteen youth from the northwest coast of BC were brought together to learn about the environmental risks of tanker traffic and oil spills on the coast, and the link between tanker traffic, oil and gas and global warming.
The youth came from Kitamaat Village, Hartley Bay, Skidegate (Haida Gwaii), Bella Bella, Lakalzap and Prince Rupert to learn about environmental awareness, leadership and filmmaking.
Reel Youth facilitated the production of video responses to their learning.
