CORTES ISLAND ~ CELEBRATING SENIORS FILM PROGRAM
This video production program will bring youth, adults, and seniors together in a creative collaboration to produce short films. Participants will work in small groups to produce films that explore the fascinating stories of six seniors in our community.
In this program participants will:
• Learn how to plan, shoot, and edit a short film
• Work creatively with a small group of peers
• Help tell the stories of elders in your community
• Have a ridiculous amount of fun!
We are looking for 15 participants ages 13 and up to participate in this exciting project!
The final films will be featured on our website and YouTube channel, on cortesmuseum.com, and screened publicly on Cortes Island as part of the Reel Youth Film Festival.

All experience levels are welcome. We only have room for 15 participants, so check out the details below and register now!
When: April 9 & 10 ~ 4pm – 8pm
April 11 & 12 ~ 10am – 4pm
April 18 & 19 ~ 10am – 4pm
Where: Linnaea Farm Education Centre
Who: Open to anyone ages 13 and up. No experience necessary!
NOTE: If you're in high school, we can give you 32 volunteer hours for your participation.
Program fee: $20 (payable on arrival). Bursaries available upon request.
Film Festival screening: Saturday, May 23 from 7-9pm at Manson's Hall
