AGE IS MORE FILM PROGRAM
at Granite Landing, in Cambridge, ON
These films were produced in Reel Youth and Revera's Age Is More Film Program, at Granite Landing Retirement Residence in Cambridge, ON. The program brought together young and older women to celebrate the wisdom of older Canadian women through story-telling and film, and to foster new inter-generational relationships. They created a series of short documentaries, released in celebration of International Women's Day on March 8.
Ageism is Canada's most widely tolerated form of social discrimination, and the Age Is More Film Program was designed to shed light on ageism, challenge the assumptions that younger women have of aging, and recognize the valuable wisdom of older women.
