Showcase your filmmaking talents with TELUS STORYHIVE x REEL Youth 2024 Filmmaker Showcase!

At Reel Youth we are passionate about empowering young filmmakers and fostering creativity among students. We offer a unique opportunity for your students to showcase their storytelling talent on TELUS Optik TV through our collaboration with TELUS STORYHIVE.

By submitting their films to Reel Youth, students will have their work featured on TELUS’ online streaming platform, TELUS Optik TV (VOD), reaching an audience of over one million viewers. This exposure not only provides a platform to share stories but also offers invaluable visibility to emerging talent in the industry, enriching their resumes and portfolios. Additionally, those who submit their films will be in the running for a draw to receive a $100 prize for their contributions. Five filmmakers will be selected to win!

In our work we strive to embody what we hope to see in the world—a just humanity and community in which people are free to be themselves fully and without fear. A community where no one is exiled or silenced because of gender, gender expression, race, color, ethnic or national origin, religion, sexual/affectional orientation, age, class, physical character or disability. We believe in the power of storytelling to make connections across difference.
