Do you have a passion for film and a desire to try something new?

Are you looking for a way to appreciate the world around you or perhaps discover more about the lands you are on?

If you are nodding yes, then this program is for you!

Focused TV is a brand new Reel Youth program for participants in Alberta and British Columbia! Here, participants will plan, shoot, and edit meaningful short films. They will pick a space close to them and dig in deep to make films specific to historical and cultural geography of their surroundings. A program about decolonizing place and the structures of cinema.

All skill levels encouraged to join!

This program is entirely online and no filmmaking experience is necessary.

In our work we strive to embody what we hope to see in the world—a just humanity and community in which people are free to be themselves fully and without fear. A community where no one is exiled or silenced because of gender, gender expression, race, color, ethnic or national origin, religion, sexual/affectional orientation, age, class, physical character or disability. We believe in the power of storytelling to make connections across difference.
