YOUTH & SENIORS FILM PROGRAM
Do you have an interest in film and passion for social
change?
Have you always wanted to get behind a camera,
or would like to take your filmmaking skills to the next
level?
If you are nodding yes, then this program is for you!
The Youth and Seniors Film Program is a unique
filmmaking workshop that will bring together youth
and seniors in a creative collaboration to produce
short films.
In this FREE program, you will work with a
small group to create films that explore the fascinating
and un-told stories of 10 seniors from your community.
In this program you will:
• Learn how to plan, shoot, and edit a short film
• Work creatively with a small group of peers
• Help tell the stories of elders in your community
• Have a ridiculous amount of fun!
Ten youth aged 13-25 will be chosen to participate in
this project. We are looking for youth who are excited
about filmmaking and interested in exploring film as a
tool for social change.
The program is FREE and we
welcome any level of experience!
A public screening of the Reel Youth Film Festival will feature your films, along with some of the best youth-made filmmaking from around the world. The films will also be submitted to the Reel Youth Film Festival, and distributed on YouTube and the Reel Youth website.
Meals and snacks are included!
This is a 6-day program. The dates are:
