These films were made in the 2020 Cortes Island video production program, made possible in part by the financial support of the Mark Torrance Foundation and the Cortes Community Health Association. This inter-generational program brought youth and adults together to create films on issues they care about. Over the course of 4 days, the participants gained skills in issue-based video production, and made these films on the topics of climate change, social media, and affordable housing.
Check out more films that we have made on Cortes, in 2019, in 2016 at the HollyHock Invention Film Camp, with the Strathcona Regional District (2013 and 2014), Decoda Literacy Solutions, at the Re:Invent Summer Film Camp, and with the Southern Cortes Community Association.
